The BMW X2 vs. the Audi Q3 - Which Luxury Model is Right for You?

At The Automaster BMW, we specialize in pairing our customers with the perfect luxury vehicle for their needs and their personality. Whether you're visiting us from Hanover, NH, or just over the lake in Plattsburgh, NY, we want to help you understand what sets our incredible vehicles apart and what makes them the right fit for your needs.

Take the latest BMW X2, for example. An eye-catching, compact crossover, the X2 is one of our world-class SAV models, and it's ready to help you make the most out of your Burlington commute. But we also know that the X2 may not be the only high-end model in its class that's vying for your attention. To illustrate what makes it tops in any competition, we've put it side by side with the Audi Q3 for you here. Read on to learn more and contact us to make time for a test drive in Shelburne.

Power and Performance

Right out of the gate, the BMW X2 surpasses the Audi Q3 with a high level of performance that can help you get to the office in Williston or the ski slope in Stowe quickly and efficiently. While the X2 starts with a turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine with 228 horsepower, the Audi has a standard four-cylinder engine that's worth 184 horsepower.

Exploring other trims and options in the BMW lineup, you can look forward to a top-tier engine that increases power output to 301 horsepower, while the Audi SUV tops out with just 228 horsepower.

Not only does the BMW model have more standard and optional power than the Audi Q3, but it also has more options available. With the X2, drivers get to choose between either front-wheel or all-wheel drive. But the Audi comes strictly with AWD, which means you don't get a say in whether you get it or not.

Interior Space and Comfort

A quick glance at the exterior of these two models will show you that the BMW X2 is actually the smaller of the two. But it also maximizes its interior dimensions a little better, so that smaller on the outside means slightly larger on the inside.

While the Audi Q3 measures longer and taller than the X2, the BMW has a little more legroom for you and your tallest passengers to stretch out in, both in the front seat and the backseat.

Standard and Optional Amenities

From safety to technology to comfort, the BMW X2 goes above and beyond to deliver what our customers are looking for in terms of the features on their vehicle. In fact, while both the X2 and the Q3 deliver a broad range of sought-after features, the BMW model has more.

With every BMW X2, starting at the base model, you can look forward to such high-end amenities standard as a navigation system with real-time traffic monitoring and a convenient suite of auto controls that you can access from your smartphone. But the Audi SUV doesn't have these features listed as standard equipment and, in the case of the navigation system, you'll have to move up to the top trim level and, even then, it's only listed as an optional add-on rather than a standard amenity.

Beyond the standard roster of features, the BMW X2 also has more optional amenities that are broadly available than the Q3. For example, every X2 is eligible for the M Sport X Package upgrade, which equips the vehicle with larger wheels and unique design elements. But the Audi Q3 doesn't have any options that are comparable in its lineup.
