A brief history of our dealership
Our founder Jack DuBrul moved to Vermont in 1950 and started a career as a commercial pilot, a hot air balloon and glider instructor and a professional racer. Jack acquired his first dealership as an AMC franchise in 1968 and ran the repair shop himself. He then acquired Vermont's only Mercedes-Benz franchise in 1969, added a Honda franchise in 1973 and opened a BMW dealership in 1979. Jack moved his business into its current award-winning Automaster facility in 1984, conveniently located near Burlington and Williston, VT.
The Automaster today
The Automaster continues to be a family-owned and operated business with more than 120 employees including Jack's three sons, John, Steele and Kyle along with Dale Fillion as the General Mager, a man who has more than 50 years with the company. The Automaster has a 30-acre campus with three separate buildings, all not far from Stowe and South Burlington, VT. The most recent addition to The Automaster was the acquisition of a 13.6-acre parcel of land where we transformed a crumbling old restaurant into a beautiful new automotive facility.
The Automaster Museum
Over the more than 50 years we have been in business, we have collected an amazing array of vintage cars, motorcycles, flight memorabilia and other unique items. In one of our buildings you'll find a remarkable museum with an amazing Norman Rockwell artistic collection, a Harley-Davidson jukebox, and an authentic barber chair from the 1940s. Take a look at the attractive 1972 Honda 600 coupe, a handsomely-restored 1957 BMW Isetta 300 and even an original 1968 Mini Cooper.
