Jack DuBrul, his family, and The Automaster have always had a strong behind-the-scenes support of the community and its educational programs.  Champlain College named Jack DuBrul its 2009 Distinguished Citizen for his long-time support of the local community.

Jack's support of the community ranges from serving 18 years on The Merchants Bank board of directors, to 40+ years of supporting the Center for Technology at Essex high school, and helping countless civic and charitable organizations, including Shelburne Farms, Champlain College, The Visiting Nurse Association, Fletcher Allen Health Care, United Way, the National Multiple Sclerosis Society, Vermont Motzart Festival, and the Flynn Center for Performing Arts.

Recently The Automaster sponsored the building of new playground equipment at Shelburne Beach, and in conjunction with the Vermont Lake Monsters donated 1,000 bike helmets to children in Burlington.
